Practice Policies
TELEPHONE ACCESS
The practice will take phone calls during normal opening hours. If the doctor is with a patient, a message will be taken. At present, we have received feedback that it has been difficult to get through the phone lines. This is largely due to the bookings for the COVID vaccine. We apologize for the inconvenience. We also thank you for your understanding
FEES
Our practice offers a bulk billing practice. There is a small fee for some services, including services not covered by Medicare. This includes patients without a Medicare card. Please present your Medicare card and/or your veteran’s affairs card and your pension card (if applicable) at reception. Pathology requests and other tests/investigations are bulk billed as well. However, pre-employment medical examinations, insurance forms and any other services that are not covered by Medicare will incur a fee accordingly. Non-Medicare card holders and services not covered by Medicare will incur a fee.
PATHOLOGY RESULTS
All test results are strictly confidential. In order to protect your privacy, this practice does not give results to patients via SMS, faxes or emails. Due to the current COVID lockdown, we are discussing patient results via telephone. We request that you book an appointment. You will be advised at the time of the test when you can expect your results to return. All urgent results will be followed up with the patient directly.
REMINDER/ RECALL SYSTEM
Our practice uses an active recall and reminder system. If you do not wish to be part of this system please notify our receptionists.
